Five Sepang schools get RM100,000 boost for learning space transformation

PUTRAJAYA, May 14 — RM100,000 has been allocated to five schools in the Sepang Parliamentary constituency for school space transformation projects under the People-Friendly Project (PMR) initiative.

The beneficiary schools are SMK Sungai Pelek, SK Dengkil, SK Tanjong Sepat, SK Kota Warisan, and SK Cyberjaya.

The funding stems from a collaboration between the Sepang Member of Parliament Service Centre and the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT), through its agency, Urbanice Malaysia.

Urbanice said the initiative aligns with KPKT’s aspiration to promote sustainable and inclusive community development through a people-centric approach.

“This initiative demonstrates that a high-impact approach doesn’t necessarily require large-scale changes, but can be achieved through strategic and creative micro-transformations, which address the actual needs of students and teachers,” it said in a statement today.

Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister cum Sepang MP Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu presented the contribution at SMK Sungai Pelek today.

In the same statement, she said the initiative reflects KPKT's aspirations to ensure physical development supports human development and improves people's quality of life.

Transforming school spaces refreshes their appearance and reshapes how students engage with their environment, making learning more meaningful and fostering a competitive, progressive community.
