SHAH ALAM, April 12 — Approximately 1,104 flood victims from 300 families are currently taking shelter at six temporary relief centres (PPS) across the districts of Shah Alam, Klang, and Subang Jaya, as of 9.15am today.
According to the Social Welfare Department's (JKM) official portal, the figure includes 653 victims at three PPS in the Shah Alam district and 383 victims at two PPS in the Klang district.
“Meanwhile, in the Subang Jaya district, one PPS has been opened to accommodate 68 victims.
“This total comprises 715 adult men and women, with the remainder being children and infants,” it said.

Earlier, state executive councillor for disaster management Mohd Najwan Halimi said that PPS were opened at Dewan Kenanga in Section 28 MBSA, and SK Section 16 in the Shah Alam district, as well as Dewan Camelia in Putra Heights, the Subang Jaya district.
In the Klang district, three PPS were opened: SK Sg Binjai, Dewan Azalea in Taman Seri Muda, and Dewan Bunga Bakawali in Section 35.
Heavy rain early yesterday morning caused flash floods in several areas in Shah Alam, including the main road in front of the HL warehouse in Section 23, Sri Muda.
In addition to Shah Alam, several areas in Klang, Puchong, and Hulu Langat were also affected by flash floods.
