KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 — RON97 will cost RM3.33 per litre, up by five sen, from tomorrow until April 9.
RON95 remains at RM2.05 per litre nationwide, while diesel stays at RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, and RM3.03 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia.
In a statement today, the Finance Ministry (MOF) said prices were set based on weekly retail rates of petroleum products under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism.
The MOF said the government will continue monitoring market trends and coordinating RON97 prices with consideration for market oil price trends and the need to support cost stability.
“The government will continue to take appropriate measures to ensure the people’s welfare and well-being,” it added.
