KLANG, Feb 1 — In conjunction with Visit Selangor Year 2025 (VSY2025), Klang yesterday hosted Food Fest Magic X Choii Motorsport.
Klang Mayor Dato’ Abd Hamid Hussain said the festival, now in its second year, empowers the state tourism sector and benefits local entrepreneurs.
“This event is no mere food festival, but also draws tourists and is an important platform that impacts local and national economic growth.
“The food and beverage industry drives the economy, creates jobs and supports small and medium enterprises, and especially helps the B40 group.
“Festivals such as this one gives a place for local entrepreneurs to promote their products, drawing more tourists and increasing the local community’s income,” he said at the festival launch at the Pandamaran Sports Complex yesterday.

The festival, which ends tomorrow, makes available various food and drinks from tens of local entrepreneurs, as well as fun activities for families.
Previously, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced the visitselangor2025.my digital campaign and official mascots, Spark the Fireflies, at the VSY2025 Festival and Concert at Setia City Park, Shah Alam.
VSY2025 has over 60 events in store for the year, and aims to draw eight million domestic and foreign tourists as well as RM11.7 billion in receipts.
