SHAH ALAM, Jan 29 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor is looking to allocate RM60 million under the i-Bisnes Scheme to help entrepreneurs develop their businesses this year.

Its chief executive officer Dato’ Mearia Hamzah said the assistance for capital, open to entrepreneurs in the state, is set to benefit thousands of business owners.

She said Hijrah Selangor also launched the Niaga Darul Ehsan (NaDI) scheme, which is especially for groups of female entrepreneurs, with an allocation target of RM5 million for about 500 recipients.

“In 2025, Hijrah Selangor will continue focusing on existing schemes: i-Bisnes and NaDI. Other than attending to individual entrepreneurs, our main focus is to empower (groups of) women,” she told Media Selangor.

i-Bisnes offers loans of up to RM50,000 for entrepreneurs to start small businesses or to increase their working capital.

On January 2, Hijrah Selangor said it has helped 2,806 entrepreneurs by disbursing RM55 million from January to November last year.

It said its effort to award additional capital is to develop businesses and empower the small and medium enterprise economy in the state.

On September 11 last year, Mearia said Hijrah Selangor had approved 90,475 applications since the fund was established in 2015 until August 2024.
