SHAH ALAM, Dec 29 — Seven solar lights have been installed in several dark and accident-prone areas during the night around the Kuala Kubu Baharu state constituency.

Its state assemblyman Pang Sock Tao said that two solar lights were installed along Jalan Ampang Pecah-Rasa, followed by one each in Kampung Jawa, Kampung Pasir, Kampung Paya Dalam, Kampung Kelapa, and Ulu Yam Lama.

“The installation of these solar lights is a contribution from the state government and part of the Selangor Shines 2024 initiative to ensure that Kuala Kubu Baharu becomes brighter and safer, especially at night.

“The main focus is on dark and high-risk areas, while also ensuring the comfort and safety of local residents,” she said in a Facebook post yesterday.

The 2025 Selangor Budget, presented by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on November 15, allocated RM1.3 billion, or 43.3 per cent of the total budget, for development expenditure.

Of this amount, RM404.17 million is designated for the infrastructure sector, including upgrading works to support the assurance of clean water supply, more efficient solid waste management, and improvements to road and drainage infrastructure.
