AMPANG JAYA, Dec 21 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council’s (MPAJ) community event today, held in conjunction with Children’s Day, OKU Day and Senior Citizens’ Day, successfully drew over 500 residents.

Held from 7.30am to 1pm at the MPAJ Convention Centre here, MPAJ president Ani Ahmad said activities at the event were on education, spirituality, health, economy, and culture.

“This event has been held since two years ago, but it is the first at this location. It aims to celebrate and appreciate children, people with disabilities, and senior citizens in areas under MPAJ’s jurisdiction.

“It also aims to nurture care, empathy and support within the community and encourage a healthy lifestyle,” she said when met after officiating the event.
