PELABUHAN KLANG, Sept 27 — The 2025 Selangor Budget, scheduled to be tabled in mid-November, will focus on artificial intelligence (AI) technology, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He explained that improvements to programmes under the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang initiative will also be prioritised to ensure the continued welfare of the state's citizens.
“In planning next year’s budget, Selangor is focusing on AI while at the same time trying to enhance the programmes under ISP, which consists of more than 40 initiatives.
“This is to ensure that the people continue to receive support, welfare, and economic strengthening, which will also help increase the state’s gross domestic product contribution percentage to the nation,” Amirudin said.
The Menteri Besar was speaking at a community engagement event cum groundbreaking ceremony for Westport 2 in Port Klang today, which was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Previously, he said the 2025 Selangor Budget will emphasise the state’s preparedness in facing the impacts of climate change and global warming by streamlining all relevant agencies.
