SERDANG, Sept 17 — Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah graciously visited the Selangor Pavilion during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture, and Agrotourism Exhibition (Maha) 2024 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park in Serdang today.
His Highness arrived at 11am, accompanied by state executive councillor for rural development Datuk Rizam Ismail, and began the tour by visiting the Agrotrade exhibitors' booth, which featured products from local entrepreneurs.
Tengku Amir then visited the livestock ruminant exhibition by the Malaysian Veterinary Department and the Fisheries Research Institute site, to observe sea prawn fishing activities.
The Raja Muda proceeded to the Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority's exhibition, where His Highness viewed the freshwater fish and aquaculture pond gallery.
The visit was concluded with a stop at the Selangor Pavilion to view exhibits showcasing the state's products, including Vanilla planifolia, stingless bee honey, high-quality grain corn, state-grown melons, coconuts, pineapples, and agrotourism products.
Maha 2024 aims to secure RM6 billion worth of signed memoranda of understanding and attract three million visitors.
During its launch in June, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu said that over 180 international companies have expressed interested in participating in the exhibition, with a target of 2,000 exhibitors.
