GOMBAK, Sept 16 — The Taman Templer state constituency’s Maulidur Rasul and Malaysia Day celebration today was attended by people from all segments of society.
Taman Templer assemblyman Anfaal Saari led about 300 people in a Maulidur Rasul parade from the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium parking lot.
The 1.5km march was joined by Selayang Madani Community Committee chairman Dato’ Hasnal Rezua Marican and non-governmental organisations.
The celebration was enlivened with praise and veneration for the Prophet Muhammad throughout the march.
Anfaal, who is also state executive councillor for women empowerment and welfare, said the programme aimed to bring community leaders and the people closer while remembering the prophet.
“I invite the people of Taman Templer, especially community leaders, councillors, village heads and Madani Community heads to appreciate this spirit,” he said.
