SHAH ALAM, Aug 24 — The Sungai Bernam Water Treatment Plant (WTP) has ceased operating for the time being due to the high turbidity of raw water caused by flash floods in the area earlier today.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd said that as a result, users in parts of the Hulu Selangor and Sabak Bernam regions will experience water supply disruptions.
"Alternative assistance via water tankers will be mobilised to users, with priority given to critical premises.
"Air Selangor is making every effort to minimise the impact of this disruption on affected users," it said in a statement.
Consumers can obtain information on this unscheduled water supply disruption from time to time through the official communication channel.
