"The student's family informed the class teacher that the student suddenly fainted on Wednesday night (July 24) and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being taken to hospital," he said in a statement here today

According to Raisin, the school was informed of the student’s death at 7am yesterday.

He said the department would assist the victim's family with the takaful insurance claims.

"We will also provide a complete report on the case once all investigations have been completed by the Sandakan District Health Office,” Raisin said.
