SHAH ALAM, July 20 — Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin expressed his heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, on occassion of the sovereign's installation as the nation's 17th King today.
"I humbly extend the highest congratulations to Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim on the occasion of His Majesty's installation as the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
"May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala bless the reign of His Majesty. Daulat Tuanku! Dirgahayu Tuanku!" he said in a Facebook post.
Sultan Ibrahim's installation ceremony as the 17th King of Malaysia was held at Balairung Seri in Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur.
The historical event was attended by hundreds of distinguished guests, including Malay rulers, governors, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Cabinet ministers, foreign dignitaries, and prominent leaders.
Sultan Ibrahim took his oath and signed the instrument of office as the 17th King on January 31.
