SUBANG JAYA, July 16 — Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, has formed a partnership with three Chinese companies to develop the China-Malaysia Digital and Green Technology Industrial Park project at the Selangor Bio Bay in Pulau Indah.

The strategic collaboration offers various benefits to Selangor and China, including supporting the development of the First Selangor Plan and greenhouse gas emission initiatives.

"Via this strategic collaboration, infrastructure facilities will be upgraded, creating a more sustainable future at Pulau Indah.

"In addition, it will inject investment and job opportunities at Pulau Indah, as well as increase Selangor's gross domestic product rate.

"For China, it will strengthen international cooperation to support sustainable development, showcase its technological advancements at the global level, and attract interest for more companies and government-linked companies to form partnerships," it said in a statement today.

Earlier, MBI signed two memoranda of understanding with the China Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation, Asia ICM Resources Sdn Bhd, and China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd.

The signing was officiated by its chief financial officer Zaniffa Azura with representatives from the three companies, and was witnessed by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing; Science, Technology, and Innovation Deputy Minister Datuk Mohammad Yusof Apdal, and state executive councillor for Islamic affairs and innovation Dr Mohammad Fahmi Ngah.
