SUBANG JAYA, June 25 — KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) welcomes initiatives to promote the recycling culture in every state constituency.

Its managing director Datuk Ramli Mohd Tahir said the state waste management agency always supports efforts to reduce waste sent to landfills.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday about the expansion of the recycling programme organised by the Subang Jaya state constituency, he said others should emulate such initiatives to raise awareness of recycling practices among residents.

“This effort greatly helps to reduce waste sent to landfills. The importance of recycling might be underestimated, but its impact on the environment is significant, and it should actually start with the smallest of efforts.

“Therefore, we urge all parties to be aware of environmental sensitivities, and KDEBWM is ready to collaborate with any state constituency to realise this goal,” he said.

During the event, Subang Jaya state assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze said the recycling programme, a collaboration between her office and KDEBWM, will be expanded to cover the entirety of areas from USJ 1 to USJ 22.
