PUTRAJAYA, June 24 — The Eastern Zone Madani Rakyat 2024 programme covering Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan will be held at Dataran Sayangi Kuantan, Pahang for three days starting July 5.
The programme is organised by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit (Pacu), in strategic collaboration with the Rural and Regional Development Ministry (KKDW) and Pahang state government.
The Madani Rakyat programme secretariat, in a statement today, said the programme is a continuation of the Madani Government One Year Anniversary programme held at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil in December last year.
“This programme is extended to the state level by zones to provide opportunities for local communities to understand, observe and evaluate the new policies and initiatives implemented by the Madani Government to enhance the well-being of the people,” the statement read.
It said that the Eastern Zone Madani Rakyat programme focuses on activities related to public welfare, unity agenda, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), career carnivals, tourism, agriculture and food security, rural welfare, as well as exhibitions and services related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education and artificial intelligence.
There will also be the Madani Sales programme with discounts and special offers, as well as the display of government assets.
The Madani Rakyat programme serves as a platform for the public to access services directly from ministries and federal and state agencies while providing opportunities for the public to share views and suggestions for improving the quality of government services.
It also aims to establish continuous communication channels between the public and the government, thereby strengthening relationships in efforts to build a more prosperous nation in line with the Malaysia Madani agenda.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the Eastern Zone Madani Rakyat programme on July 6.
“The public is invited to enliven the Eastern Zone Madani Rakyat programme from July 5 to 7, from 9am to 10pm,” it said.
