SHAH ALAM, June 4 — Those who purchase Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) homes are set to enjoy a home financing facility by Maybank, including renovation loans.
PKNS group chief executive officer Dato’ Mahmud Abbas said homebuyers can obtain loans of up to 90 per cent, as well as an additional 30 per cent (maximum RM250,000) for interior design under Maybank’s MyDeco scheme.
“We are aware that many new homeowners face difficulty renovating their homes due to small budgets, especially with today’s economic situation with rising goods costs.
“This initiative aims to help people own their own homes, complete with the interior design of their dreams. This scheme is offered for all projects under PKNS.
“This scheme is also offered to subsidiaries that want to add amenities such as solar roofs,” said Mahmud during a press conference today.

Mahmud earlier signed a MyDeco memorandum of understanding with Maybank, represented by community financing services group chief executive officer Syed Ahmad Taufik Albar.
Syed Ahmad said with the collaboration, Maybank will facilitate the homebuying process for approval of an up to 120 per cent loan, including an additional margin for MyDeco.
“Under this scheme, PKNS homeowners can do interior design work including buying furniture, appliances, aesthetic material, decorations and more,” he said.
