GOMBAK, April 28 — Over 100 youths from Kuala Kubu Baharu were taken to watch the film Sheriff: Narko Integriti at Aeon Rawang on Friday (April 26).
The Batang Kali state constituency's coordinator Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad said the initiative is aimed at getting to know the younger generation while simultaneously raising awareness of the dangers of drugs.
"Every now and then, there needs to be informal programmes, more relaxed like watching movies because it is more appealing to the youth and they can also learn lessons from this film," he said.
Saifuddin added the outing also received cooperation from the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) and the Malaysian Anti-Drug Association (Pemadam).
"Various programmes to approach youths with cooperation from AADK and Pemadam will be continued in the future," he said outside the cinema.
Sheriff: Narko Integriti, starring Zul Ariffin, Syafiq Kyle, Daton Aaron Aziz, Azira Shafinaz, and Elizabeth Tan, tells the story of police officers from the Integrity Department, where Sheriff, teaming up with young police officer Nazri from the Narcotics Department, aim to dismantle a drug syndicate.
The movie, which also addresses the subject of 'police arresting the police,' is produced by Skop Productions and Astro Shaw. It has garnered RM22.1 million in revenue in its first week of release since April 18.
