KLANG, March 14 — Police urged the family of an 11-year-old girl who was attacked and bitten by two wild dogs at the Taman Suri Pendamar flats recently to come forward and lodge a police report immediately.

South Klang district police chief ACP Cha Hoong Fong said since the authorities have yet to receive any report about the incident, it was difficult for police to carry out investigations and to identify the victim.

“We are in the process of identifying the victim, and I hope the mother of the victim will assist us by coming forward and lodging a police report to ease investigations,” he said.

Cha was speaking during a press conference today when asked to comment on developing investigations about the incident.

According to reports, the victim, identified as Nur Acha Dawina, suffered serious injuries after being attacked by two wild dogs at about 2pm on Sunday (March 10) when she accompanied her aunt to throw rubbish.

The victim, who suffered severe injuries to her head, ears, legs and hand, had to undergo surgery for six hours and received 15 stitches.

Cha added that a 50-year-old man, said to be the owner of the two dogs, had come forward on the said day to lodge a police report to deny the claim.
