PUTRAJAYA, Jan 20 — The Interim Report 1 on the Review of the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) was submitted to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday, said the Public Service Department (PSD).
It said the report was submitted by the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali and PSD director-general Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz, after the SSPA Review main committee meeting, which Anwar chaired.
In a Facebook post today, the PSD said the meeting's focus was on various initiatives which can contribute towards increasing civil servants' disposable income.
During the Budget 2024 tabling in Parliament on October 13 last year, the Prime Minister said the SSPA's full implementation will begin in 2025.
Accordingly, a study on SSPA will be carried out comprehensively, focusing on increasing the productivity and efficiency of public services.
The study, which also focuses on the public sector's salary increases and allowances, is expected to take almost two years and is a reform initiative in the public service in line with the aspirations of Developing Malaysia Madani.
