SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 – Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd (KPS) bagged the Gold Excellence Award in the “Companies with less than RM2 Billion in Market Capitalisation” category at the recent National Annual Corporate Report Awards (Nacra) 2023.
It marks the fourth consecutive time the state subsidiary has been recognised at the annual awards ceremony.
Its best achievement was in 2021 when it bagged Nacra’s top award, the Platinum Excellence Award, in the same category. The company also claimed Silver in 2020 and 2022.
The awards are presented to organisations with the highest reporting standards in their annual reports.
This year’s presentation was held at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on November 30.
In a brief statement via its Instagram account, KPS said receiving the prestigious award reaffirms its commitment to and raising the bar for transparency, accountability, and excellence in corporate reporting.
“We are honoured by the recognition of our efforts to communicate our strategy, performance, and impact to our stakeholders,” it said today.
Nacra is a collaborative effort of three bodies, Bursa Malaysia, Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysia Institute of Certified Public Accountants, designed to promote excellence and enhance corporate reporting and disclosure standards.
Since its establishment in 1990, the criteria for Nacra have been reviewed and improved each year to align Malaysian corporate reporting with dynamic global frameworks and respond to growing interest in integrated and sustainability reporting.
