KUALA SELANGOR, Nov 19, — A total of 1,000 Digital Rahmah coupons worth RM5 were distributed to visitors to the Sungai Buloh, Jeram morning market here today.
Coupon distribution in conjunction with the Selangor Platform (Plats) Market Entry Campaign was completed by the chief operating officer of the Selangor Menteri Besar (Incorporation) or MBI.
Saipolyazan M Yusop said the initiative aims to give exposure to traders registered under Plats thus increasing their income.
"For today, 1,000 digital coupons with a total value of RM5,000 were distributed to market visitors. They can use the coupon at 26 market traders registered under Plats.
"We want registered traders to benefit from the digitization provided by Plats such as business training and interest-free financing. They can also get access to programs implemented such as the Selangor Air Show 2023 (SAS 2023).
"This is the exposure we want to give to market traders in addition to helping them increase sales income and digitize their business," he said during the programme.
Saipolyazan said the campaign will continue to 11 more locations in each local authority until next December.
"Throughout November, there will be six campaign locations and interested traders can register through the Plats website.
"Future planning is that more people will be registered and there will be more coupon distribution locations to help traders," he said.
Plats was introduced in Ramadan 2020 to complete the Selangor Digitalisation Agenda ecosystem through a digital platform following the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic.
It is an initiative of the Selangor Government to help small micro and medium enterprises (PMKS) to adapt digitalization in business.
