SHAH ALAM, Oct 20 – The state government will donate RM1 million to Palestine to alleviate the suffering of its people following weeks of Israeli attacks.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the aid will be channelled through the Foreign Ministry’s Humanitarian Trust Fund for the People of Palestine.
“We hope this assistance can be part of the collective effort by communities and countries globally to uphold justice and oppose violence,” he said in a statement today.

Amirudin added the international community has a responsibility to put aside its differences in supporting a ceasefire to allow expedited humanitarian aid safe passage into Gaza.
He also slammed Israel, describing them as devoid of principles and immoral, for massacring thousands of innocent lives, including women and children.
“Since October 9, their sufferings at the hand of a regime seeking to cleanse an entire defenceless population and violate international laws has cost over 4,000 lives to date,” Amirudin said.
Yesterday, during the Selangor International Business Summit 2023’s opening, the Menteri Besar delivered a strong message condemning the inhumane attacks on Palestine.
He expressed Selangor’s unequivocal support for peace, describing the ongoing violence committed by Israel as acts of terror.
“On behalf of Selangor’s people, I say in no uncertain terms that we fully condemn these acts of terror, especially the attacks against hospitals, places of worship, and homes.
“We stand in solidarity with all who uphold peace and justice, not only through meaningless words but in rightful and meaningful actions,” Amirudin said.
