HULU LANGAT, Aug 26 — Over 10,000 visitors are expected to liven up the Sate and Kopi Secocok Bersama programme at Dataran MPKj@Stadium Kajang, starting today until tomorrow.
Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) President Najmuddin Jemain said various programmes are planned, including patriotic movie screenings in conjunction with Merdeka month.
"We have set up a satay village with 14 vendors and 22 local coffee vendors participating.
"The price of the satay has also been standardised for each stall so that all stalls will sell at the same price. For example, RM1.20 for chicken satay, in addition to combo menus featuring various types of satay," he said.
Najmuddin was speaking at the eighth monthly MPKj meeting at Menara MPKj yesterday, which he chaired.
He added other attractions will include motorcycle convoys, the distribution of 3,000 free satay sticks for visitors at specified times, and folk sports.
Prior to this, MPKj had announced Sate and Kopi Secocok Bersama would be based on traditional concepts. Commencing at 10am, it will feature performances by local artists including Rosewood, Skudap Skudip, and DJ Sir Birdo.
Visitors can use the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) transit service to reach the programme's destination.
