SHAH ALAM, Aug 18 — The cleaning and beautification work at the downstream reservoir (ORS) of Kampung Hang Tuah in Bestari Jaya is carried out on a daily basis to ensure the area remains well-maintained.
The Selangor Water Management Authority (Luas) said the cleaning work will also ensure the reservoir area's environmental sustainability.
"Luas always ensures the environment of the alternative water source reservoirs in Selangor remains clean. The works carried out at the ORS in Kampung Hang Tuah, Bestari Jaya, takes place daily to ensure the area is well-preserved.
"The reservoir is constantly monitored to prevent any disturbances and damage to its quality and quantity," it said in a Facebook post.
The 63.41-hectare ORS in Kampung Hang Tuah is one of the alternative sources of natural water supply in Selangor.
It was also recognised as the winner of the Overall Best Project Award by the Selangor Innovation Council (MPIPPANS) in 2017.
