SHAH ALAM, July 28 — Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) candidate Juwairiya Zulkifli can win the Hulu Kelang seat thanks to sturdy machinery and good campaigning, said Selangor Harapan chairman Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said he is confident because support for Selangor Perikatan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is dwindling.
“After (Azmin) left Keadilan, he lost more than 70 per cent of his machinery.
“And after he lost (in Gombak), I think he lost his entire machinery and the Gombak Bersatu team under his leadership.
“He depended entirely on PAS’ machinery,” Amirudin said at the ground-breaking ceremony of Rumah Idaman Cahaya in Cahaya Alam here today.
Amirudin said he is confident in the abilities of Juwairiya, who is an Hulu Kelang native and has family in the area.
“The strength of Keadilan’s machinery and cooperation from Amanah in Hulu Kelang will help our candidate.
“I believe there will be a healthy, close competition, and we hope our efforts towards victory will be fruitful, especially after a few campaigns that will be held soon,” he said.
Nomination day for the election in Selangor and five other states is tomorrow, while polling day is on August 12.
