IPOH, July 13 — The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) will hold Rahmah Sales at the Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah in Meru Raya, in conjunction with the launch of the National Month and Kibar Jalur Gemilang 2023.
KPDN said the sales will last for two days, on Saturday (July 15) from 2.30pm until 10pm, and Sunday (July 16) from 8am until 5pm, with essential goods priced 10 to 30 per cent below market value.
Vendors participating in the sales are supermarkets from the surrounding area and government agencies, including the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority.
Among the list of daily necessities that will be sold are chicken, seafood, eggs, sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour and rice, it said in a statement.
Vegetables and fruits, personal care items, household cleaning items, disposable diapers, school supplies and other necessities will also be available.
Rahmah Sales is a programme implemented with the involvement of, among others, hypermarkets and supermarkets which offers big savings on the price of daily necessities up to 30 per cent cheaper than market price, in efforts to help reduce the people’s cost of living.
Various interesting programmes have been lined up in conjunction with the launch of National Month and Kibar Jalur Gemilang 2023.
The National Day celebration on August 31 will be held in Putrajaya, followed by the Malaysia Day celebration on September 16 in Kuching, Sarawak.
