SHAH ALAM, May 25 — The issue over the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project's developer utilising the SJK(T) Ladang Midlands' school field to park various equipment has been resolved via a 'win-win' decision.

The solution was reached following discussions between the school's Parent and Teacher Association (PIBG), the developer, and Kota Anggerik state assemblyman Najwan Halimi.

Najwan said the school has consented to the developer using the school field until the project has been completed, as long as they repair the field and rebuild the fence that was demolished in the area.

"The developer has also agreed to contribute RM100,000 for the school students' human development," he told SelangorKini.

Najwan was speaking at the donation ceremony by LRT3's three strategic partners, at SJK(T) Ladang Midlands earlier today. The three companies are Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, MRCB Builders Setia Utama LRT3 Sdn Bhd, and Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd.

On his part, Prasarana's infrastructure head Henny Sahril Kasiran said the project is expected to be fully completed by next year, with the service open to the public by the end of March 2025.

"A total of 20 stations will operate simultaneously throughout Selangor, with six operating in the administrative areas under the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA). They include Glenmarie, Temasya, Stadium Shah Alam, Persiaran Dato' Menteri, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), and Section 7.

"There are two interchange stations in Bandar Utama which connects the public with the Mass Transit Transit (MRT) service on the Kajang and Glenmarie lines, with the LRT on the Kelana Jaya line," he said.

The 37.8 kilometre-long LRT3 project from the western corridor of the Klang Valley and Kuala Lumpur city centre, and is expected to benefit over two million residents.
