SHAH ALAM, April 22 — Over 300 families in the Taman Templer state constituency received RM100 in Hari Raya Aidilfitri donations each on Thursday (April 20).
Its state assemblyman Mohd Sany Hamzan said the donations are meant to help B40 and impoverished families prepare for the festive period.
"This is in conjunction with Aidilfitri, and hopefully it can be of help to the residents for their preparations," he said when contacted.
The aid was presented during a ceremony held at Dewan Kampung Selayang Permai, and at Dewan Kampung Selayang Indah.
Earlier on, Mohd Sany presented cash donations to 15 families who were affected by recent storms at Dewan MPKK Kampung Melayu Batu 16 in Rawang, which was coordinated by the Selayang parliamentary constituency.
"We hope these donations can help the victims in repairing the damages to their home roofs and walls," he said.
The assemblyman also paid a visit to several houses in Selayang to deliver duit raya and basic necessities.
