PETALING JAYA, Feb 27 — A total of 210 members of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) from the state attended the Keadilan Selangor Information Enhancement Convention at TH Hotel here yesterday.
Keadilan Selangor Information head Halimey Abu Bakar said that the programme was held for the first time in preparation for the upcoming state election.
According to him, among the contents of the programme are strengthening Keadilan members’ public speaking skills as well as educating them on the use of social media.
“This programme is one of the preparations for state election and members of Keadilan need to strengthen communication in addition to always being prepared for any situation.
"In addition, I also emphasised to them to help promote the state’s products to the people, namely the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang, so that it is better known,” he said.
The programme which took place from 8am to 5pm was officiated by the Keadilan Communications director Fahmi Fadzil, who is also the Communications and Digital Minister.
Meanwhile, Halimey is also confident that Keadilan, together with the other component parties in Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) coalition can continue to defend Selangor, which they have been administering since 2008.
"We are confident with the work done by all members of this state party and the hard work of Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari to improve Iltizam Selangor Penyayang. Selangor will remain under Pakatan Harapan," he said.
