SHAH ALAM, Feb 15 — Selangor FC today announced Venezuelan midfielder Yohandry José Orozco Cujía, better known as Orozco, as their final foreign signing for the 2023 Malaysia League (M-League) season.
Selangor FC head coach Tan Cheng Hoe said the 31-year-old has certain qualities that can provide stability to the team this season.
“We need a general in the team. I hope Orozco can dictate our playing style and stabilise our attacking department.
“Orozco has very good ball control and, at the same time, is able to provide assists for his teammates to score. He is also good at set pieces… I hope we will get to see his qualities on the field soon,” he said in a statement uploaded on the Selangor FC official portal today.
Orozco is Selangor FC’s seventh — and final — signing for this season, with the others being Ayron Del Valle (Colombia), Noor Al-Rawabdeb (Jordan) and Rauf Salifu (Ghana) as well as Malaysians Ahmad Khuzaimi Piee, V. Ruventhiran and Mohamad Faisal Abdul Halim.
