SHAH ALAM, Jan 10 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) is targeting to collect RM30 million of the non-tax revenue licence this year.

Mayor Datuk Johary Anuar said he is optimistic the target can be achieved, given the council surpassed its target last year.

“Congratulations to the Licencing Department for managing to meet the target. When I first took office, the set target was only RM21 million, and I requested the collection be increased to RM25 million.

“Alhamdulillah, the department managed to collect an estimated RM26.8 million for the non-tax revenue licence. This year, we aim for RM30 million,” he said during the Subang Jaya Coffee Talk programme, which was broadcasted live on MBSJ’s Facebook page earlier today.

Meanwhile, Johary said MBSJ has also drafted its 2023 budget, with an increase of RM35.89 million in income compared to last year.

“The expenditure revenue also has been increased to RM19.28 million, and we have also set aside 35 per cent of the budget for development purposes,” he said.
