Six Ramadan bazaar locations in Shah Alam become traders' choice

SHAH ALAM, Dec 31 — The six locations for the Ramadan bazaar sites provided by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) have been met with favourable responses from traders.

Shah Alam Mayor Nor Fuad Abdul Hamid said MBSA is preparing 25 Ramadan bazaar sites for 2023, with six of them having already been filled up.

The six locations are in Section 7, Section 18, Section 19, U8 Bukit Jelutong, U10 Alam Budiman, and U13 Setia Alam.

"So far six areas have been taken up. For Ramadan next year, we are also opening additional lots compared to during the pandemic period, as there is no longer a need for social distancing.

"Regardless, members of the public ought to take care of their health and wear face masks. Business conditions remain the same, provided there are no other instructions from the authorities," he said yesterday.

MBSA opened the online application process for its Ramadan bazaar permits on December 19, which will run until January 15, via the council's ePenjaja app or the https://epenjaja.mbsa.gov.my portal.

Further inquiries can be made by contacting MBSA's Licensing Department at 03-55105133 ext 1762, 1486, 1699, 1317 or 1366.
