SHAH ALAM, Dec 27 — The Sungai Ramal state constituency has allocated RM100,000 to build five bus stops in its areas.
Its state assemblyman Mazwan Johar said the bus stops were built in stages from November 2020 until December this year.
He said the first stop was built in front of Masjid Hasanah in Bangi, followed by Section 4 Tambahan, Bandar Baru Bangi, Pekan Bangi, and Taman Impian Ehsan.
“Alhamdulillah, the fifth bus stop at Taman Impian Ehsan was completed within a month, starting in November.
“We hope the residents will make good use of the bus stops and behave responsibly by not vandalising them,” Mazwan said when contacted.
He added the construction is aimed at providing comfort to the public by having a place to shelter while waiting for the bus.
“In addition to providing shade and weather protection, we also put up interesting information on state government initiatives as well as facts regarding Covid-19 at the bus stops.
“InsyaAllah, we will continue to build or improve the infrastructure in Sungai Ramal for the comfort of residents in the future,” Mazwan said.
