HULU LANGAT, Nov 14 — The three states led by Pakatan Harapan have been applying mature political culture in its administration for a long time, said the coalition’s candidate for the Hulu Langat parliamentary seat in the ongoing 15th general election (GE15).
Mohd Sany Hamzan, who is also the director of Parti Amanah Nasional’s Mobilisation Bureau, criticised the actions of certain political leaders who often attack DAP and play on racial sentiments.
“Selangor, Penang and Negeri Sembilan have been fine with DAP. In Selangor itself, we have formed a government with DAP for a long while now. The three Selangor excos (executive councillors) from DAP have been with the state government and have decided on many policies together.
“Never have any of those policies riled any race. Malaysia has been independent for 65 years. We should bring mature politics, peace and integrity. What a shameful thing to do otherwise in front of younger generations,” he said.
Mohd Sany, who is also the Templar state assemblyman, was speaking during his campaign trail in Bandar Bukit Mahkota yesterday.
He expressed regret over the habit of some leaders in defaming others, when they are supposed to represent the image of Islam.
“You are supposed to portray the image and title respectfully. Think first before speaking. We should be more advanced in politics. Political culture has to grow, not shrink. This is very disappointing,” Mohd Sany said.
Previously, Perak PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria accused DAP of being linked to communists, and claimed that Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would hand over power to DAP.
