SHAH ALAM, Nov 13 — Pakatan Harapan’s (Harapan) candidate for the Selayang parliamentary seat in the ongoing 15th general election (GE15) said he was drawn to the Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat roadshow, and decided to assist locals in the area to purchase food during the event.
William Leong Jee Keen said the programme has helped to reduce consumers’ burden, in light of rising living costs.
“Such a competitive programme will help to bring down prices. Let us fight and choose a responsible government,” he said in a video posted on his Facebook.
Leong was speaking after meeting locals during the roadshow at Flat Selayang Sejati in Sungai Tua, on November 8.
Yesterday, William also took part in the walkabout programme at Selayang Baru Morning Market and he was joined by Menteri Besar Dato’ Amirudin Shari.
