SHAH ALAM, Oct 20 — Up to RM1,140 in cash prizes await the winners of families who come for the Jelajah Selangor Penyayang (JSP) roadshow in Klang this weekend and are dressed in a variety of clothing.

Starting at 10am, the free competition will take place on Sultan Suleiman Stadium's main stage, on October 22.

Winners of the first-place prize will take home RM300 in cash, followed by second place with RM200, and third place with RM150.

Meanwhile, five others will take home RM50 in consolation prizes, as well as RM20 in consolation participation prizes for 12 others.

Klang is the next stop for the JSP 2.0 roadshow, following the district of Sabak Bernam, as part of the state government's efforts to introduce its various new and improved initiatives for the wider public.

Running from October 22 to October 23, the roadshow with the theme 'Building Loving Families' (Membina Keluarga Penyayang) will also see various events including performances by artists, free health screenings, the sale of affordable basic necessities, and exhibitions.

Other events include a lucky draw, an e-sports competition, a colouring competition, and folk sports like tug-of-war, arm wrestling and penalty leagues.

Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari is set to inaugurate the two-day event, which will continue in other districts every week, until the start of November.

From October 29 to October 30, the JSP roadshow will take place at KIP Sentral in Sepang, and from November 5 to November 6, at Persiaran As Salam in Hulu Selangor.

It was previously held at several other localities including Taman Kosas in Ampang Jaya, Dataran Pantai Morib in Kuala Langat, Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor, Dataran Boulevard on the grounds of the Petaling Jaya City Council, and Padang Awam in Batu Caves.
