GEORGE TOWN, Oct 4 — PLUS Malaysia Bhd will activate a traffic diversion from the entry ramp towards Penang-Alor Setar at the Juru Interchange (Northbound) for all vehicles from 12am this October 6 until 11pm on November 13 for drainage system capacity upgrading work in the area.
The highway operator, in a statement today, stated that the upgrading work, to be carried out in stages, was among initiatives to improve the safety and comfort of the surrounding communities.
“The initiative includes upgrading the capacity of the existing drainage systems that are part of a Flood Mitigation Plan near Juru,” it said.
Therefore, it advised motorists using the route during the period to plan their journey and get the latest traffic information through the PLUS Application.
They are also advised to drive safely, as well as adhere to speed limits and traffic signs when passing through the area.
