SHAH ALAM, Sept 30 — The Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) has allocated approximately RM206.95 million in expenditure to execute its planning for 2023.

Its president Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain said the local council also expects to generate RM185.95 million in revenue, based on its first 2022 half-term performance.

“The preparations take into account the 2021 Budget’s performance, as well as the achievements made during the 2022 Budget’s first half term, to ensure MPSepang policies and strategies can be fully implemented,” he said during the local council monthly meeting today.

Abd Hamid also outlined the budget’s eight main strategies for its programmes and development in Sepang.

Among the things to be implemented include diversifying its income sources, continuious prudent spending, and improving environment quality and city services.

In addition, MPSepang has also drafted an inclusive budget taking into account social and security aspects, as part of its preparations for disasters and climate changes.

"This budget will also provide additional allocations for infrastructural maintenance and upgrading public facilities, as part of MPSepang’s disaster preparations," he added.
