Hijrah Selangor offers i-Bermusim loan scheme to Deepavali bazaar traders

SHAH ALAM, Sept 29 — Traders participating in Deepavali bazaars this year will be offered the i-Bermusim loan scheme from Hijrah Selangor.

State executive councillor for entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail the offer is open to traders who are licensed by the local authorities.

Meanwhile, those who do not have a license will be assisted by officers from Selangor Indian Entrepreneur Development (Sitham) to apply for it from the local councils.

“Sitham will be taking a proactive step to help Deepavali bazaars organiser in Selangor to get a business license and to hold the event. While licensed traders taking part in the Deepavali bazaars will be offered the Hijrah Selangor’s i-Bermusim loan scheme.

“Sitham will work with the local councils’ Licensing Department to smoothen the application process for a license to organise Deepavali bazaar through a strategic collaboration to help small traders,” she said on Facebook yesterday.

Earlier yesterday, Selangor Sitham held a special meeting with the Licensing Department from all state local authorities to discuss plans to organise the Deepavali bazaar or Deepavali carnival.

The meeting was attended by officers and representatives from all local councils’ Licensing Department throughout Selangor.
