AMPANG JAYA, Aug 27 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari is expected to make an important announcement for the people in Selangor during the state-level National Day celebration on August 30.
Amirudin said during the event, he will announce several new measures to help the people face current economic challenges and the rising inflation.
"Insya Allah (God willing), at the event we will implement and announce several new initiatives from the state government to safeguard the people's lives.
"This is to address the current economic challenges and global inflation, which are burdening the people," he said.
He said this while officiating the Gombak district-level Hari Belia Negara celebration at the Melawati Mall here, today.
Meanwhile, when asked by SelangorKini what the new initiatives will be, Amirudin said it will be revealed during the event on the eve of National Day.
"We wanted to help in some matters that are related to the current situation. It is being finalised in the next few days and we will announce it on August 30," he said.
The state-level 65th National Day celebration is scheduled to take place at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam at 8pm, on August 30.
This year, Selangor chose the theme #KitaSelangorTeguhBersama which depicts the spirit of togetherness and courage of the people from all levels in facing challenges.
