SHAH ALAM, Aug 25 — Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) is offering free transportation for persons with disabilities (OKU) and senior citizens to visit seven health facilities in the Klang Valley to get medical treatment.

The local council said on Facebook that the programme under its Community Vehicle Service is available from Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 5pm.

The seven locations covered by the service are Shah Alam Hospital, Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Sungai Buloh Hospital, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, Klinik Kesihatan Seksyen 7 Shah Alam, Klinik Kesihatan Seksyen 19 Shah Alam and Klinik Kesihatan Bukit Kuda.

The service is part of the MBSA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to address the issue of a limited transportation option that is available for the group.

So far, the local council uses two modified vans to transport OKUs and a Proton Exora MPV for the senior citizens.

Requests for the service can be made to MBSA Community Development Department at 03-5522 2732.
