SELAYANG, July 4 — Bukit Lanjan state assemblyman Elizabeth Wong Keat Ping called on the people to apply for loans provided by the state government, to turn their lives around.
She said the public, especially in her state constituency, should take the opportunity to apply for the initiative via Yayasan Hijrah Selangor.
"Anyone with a business can discuss how to obtain a loan of up to RM5,000 with a very low interest rate.
"Do not miss this opportunity as the state government seeks to help with a loan for your business," Wong said during the officiation of the Pangsapuri Taman Bidara solar lighting system on Saturday (July 2)
She added that several Bukit Lanjan residents shared their success stories, after receiving aid from Hijrah.
"They took a loan of up to RM10,000 to be used as additional capital, and their businesses returned good profits. Today, they are still operating and successful," Wong said.
Via Pakej Kita Selangor, the state government provided an initial allocation of RM10 million for traders to obtain a minimum loan plan of RM1,000 and a maximum of RM5,000, with the option of choosing a fee period of between six months to three years.
For 2022, Hijrah is targeting approximately 1,722 applicants for the Niaga Darul Ehsan Scheme (NaDI) with a total funding of RM8.61 million.
