SHAH ALAM, June 10 — The Selangor Mega Job Fair organised by the state government will take place from June 11 to June 12 at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Centre.
Running from 9am to 5.30pm, the fair will be held physically and involves over 100 companies that will offer up to 20,000 employment opportunities.
Among the companies are Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad.
Other agencies are Media Prima Digital, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Shopee Malaysia, Sport Direct MST Sdn Bhd and Toyota Auto Body Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
On May 12, state executive councillor for human capital development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme is part of Selangor’s effort to reduce its unemployment rate, which stood at 3.2 per cent in the first quarter of this year.
“This year, the event will be organised on a larger scale, after it was held in hybrid mode for two years due to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures,” he said.
