SHAH ALAM, June 8 — The Selangor Mega Job Fair will be held at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Centre here this weekend (June 11 and 12).
The event organised by the state government will be held physically from 9am to 5.30pm involving over 100 companies from various sectors and offering approximately 20,000 job vacancies.
Among the companies are Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad.
Other agencies are Media Prima Digital, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Shopee Malaysia, Sport Direct MST Sdn Bhd and Toyota Auto Body Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
State executive councillor for human capital development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme is part of Selangor’s effort to reduce its unemployment rate, which stood at 3.2 per cent in the first quarter of this year.
“This year, the event will be organised on a larger scale, after it was held in hybrid mode for two years due to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures,” he said.
