SHAH ALAM, June 6 — The state government will be organising the Selangor Mega Job Fair at the MBSA Convention Centre on June 11 and 12.
The event will be held physically from 9am to 5.30pm involving over 100 companies from various sectors and offers approximately 20,000 job vacancies.
State executive councillor for human capital development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the programme is part of Selangor’s effort to reduce its unemployment rate, which stands at 3.2 per cent in the first quarter of this year.
“This year, the event will be organised on a larger scale, after it was held in hybrid mode for two years due to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures,” he was quoted on May 12.
Among the companies involved include Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad.
Other agencies are Media Prima Digital, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Shopee Malaysia, Sport Direct MST Sdn Bhd and Toyota Auto Body Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
