SHAH ALAM, April 21 — The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) will provide 10 Roll On Roll Off (RoRo) bins in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri for the public to dispose of bulky waste, which includes furniture and electrical items.
MPS Corporate Department director Mohamad Zin Masoad said the free Spring Cleaning initiative is provided at 10 locations within the municipality beginning April 22 until April 24.
“This programme is part of our continuous effort during festive celebrations to help the residents to remove their rubbish to the bins provided in their respective areas.
“We hope the residents doing spring cleaning in the involved area would throw their bulk waste into the bins to ease the collection process, thus ensuring a cleaner and hygienic environment,” he said in a statement today.
Mohamad Zin also informed that a total of 18 tonnes of bulk waste from eight locations were collected through the same initiative during the Chinese New Year celebration in February.
