SHAH ALAM, April 8 — The public is invited to visit Tourism Selangor's exhibition site during the Matta Fair 2022 in the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur this weekend.
Its corporate communications manager Ahmad Nazri Tashriq Rahmat said there will be 12 tourism destination stalls with discounts on offer of up to 50 per cent.
"Among those involved include Mitsui Outlet Park, Selangor Fruit Valley, Wet World Shah Alam, Gamuda Cove, Maeps Serdang and Sky Mirror. The Kuala Selangor Municipal Council is also involved as there are many attractions in the district.
"Tourism Selangor's involvement in Matta Fair is also aimed at promoting the Pusing Selangor Dulu campaign by offering state tourism packages to the public at special prices," he told SelangorKini.
On December 17, 2020, Tourism Selangor launched the domestic tourism campaign Pusing Selangor Dulu to attract the interest of locals in holidaying within the state.
Officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, the campaign also features actress Che Puan Juliana Evans as Selangor's tourism ambassador.
Amirudin said the state government is focusing its efforts on attracting domestic visitors via eco, agro, sports, theme park and shopping tourism.
