SHAH ALAM, Feb 28 — The Business Transformation Programme (BPT) has helped to increase the investment value of Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd (KPS) by six times within the past six years.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the corporate body has managed to procure over RM1.3 billion in investment value by 2021, compared to RM200 million in 2016.

As such, KPS has contributed an estimated RM172 million in dividends to the state government within that time frame.

"All of this is due to sound management, focused investment governance, professional corporate governance, as well as the support and trust of the state government," he said in his speech at the launch of KPS' new logo at the Setia City Convention Centre earlier today.

Also in attendance was Selangor state secretary cum KPS chairman Datuk Haris Kassim, and KPS managing director and chief executive officer Ahmad Fariz Hassan.

Amirudin said KPS remains committed to generating economic, environmental, and social development, as well as guarantee optimal return performance to investors.

At the same time, it has also been able to celebrate various achievements by carrying out corporate social responsibility programmes since 2016.

"The programmes KPS has organised encompass the aspects of education, entrepreneurship, community, the environment, and security. All of this has managed to benefit over 200,000 recipients, with a majority of them being Selangor residents," he said.

KPS was incorporated on August 11, 1975. Its new logo reflects the culture of high performance that has successfully formed a progressive, dynamic and competitive corporate body.
