SHAH ALAM, Feb 2 — Selangor state representatives have channelled various kinds of aid to ease the burden of the Tiong Hua community during the Chinese New Year (CNY).

Tanjong Sepat state assemblyman Borhan Aman Shah contributed 50 lazy chairs and mandarin oranges at four senior citizens’ rest areas near Pantai Tanjong Sepat.

He also contributed oranges and new year calendars to Chinese communities in Kanchong Laut, Tanjong Layang Tanjong and Pekan Tanjong Sepat on January 28.

Meanwhile, Seri Serdang state assemblyman Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud along

Zone 14 and 17 councillors distributed Jom CNY shopping vouchers to residents around Saujana Puchong on January 23.

She also gave out ang pows and mandarin oranges to residents in Puchong Utama and Pangsapuri Sri Indah,

While Batu Tiga state assemblyman Rodziah Ismail handed out donations to residents in Ampang two days before the CNY celebration.

She distributed food hampers and ang pows to the Chinese community in Taman Mulia Jaya, Ampang Campuran and Pasar Jalan Ampang.
